CH High Caliber Classified Warden JH NA112
GCHP Diadem’s Mr. Secret Agent Man JH NA112 x GCH Eastbay’s Backwoods Burning Ember MH UT1
Ward is a total package of a dog, with the pedigree to prove it. Only two dogs in his pedigree are not Champions or greater, and only five do not have any field titling. His ancestors consist of Platinum Grand Champions, Master Hunters, Utility Prize 1 dogs, NAVHDA Versatile Champions, Best In Specialty, and Best In Show winners.
Ward is sired by the famous “Magnum,” BISS GCHP Diadem’s Mr. Secret Agent Man JH NA112 – #1 GSP Dog in 2019. Magnum has many memorable wins, but most noted are BOS at Westminster 2020, BOS 2019 AKC National Championship, and several Group Wins along the way. Magnum has two legs towards his Senior Hunter title, which he will finish in 2021. Ward’s dam “Ember” is equally as impressive. GCH Eastbay’s Backwoods Burning Ember MHA UT1. Ember earned her Master Hunter title at the young age of 15 months, and went on to become the youngest German Shorthaired Pointer in history to obtain a Master Hunter Advanced (6 passes) which she did at 26 months old. Ember finished her Grand Championship in January of 2020. Both Magnum and Ember embody the ideal temperament, which they passed down to their son.
I describe Ward as an “old soul.” He is very quiet, calm, and loving in the house. Although an independent dog, he is very loyal and attentive to his person – Emily. Like all GSPs, Ward turns on the engines once he gets outside. He has fantastic energy and stamina in the field and a brain that does not quit. He handles in the field with ease. Ward completed three months of professional gun dog training with Kirk McConnor in the fall of 2020. He completed his Junior Hunter title in November of 2020 with four straight passes and high scores. The following week he aced his NAVHDA Natural Ability Test with perfect scores across the board for a Prize 1, 112. Ward is currently training for the Senior Hunter, which we hope to complete in the winter of 2021/22. Ward has a serious love for the water, so once his Senior is completed, we plan to train for the Utility test. In the show ring Ward has been owner handled from the start (with the exception of Clemson Kennel Club, 2021 when Emily had a broken left hand) and is a blast to handle in the ring. He shows calmly and confidently. Ward received his first big win in October of 2020 at the Atlanta Kennel Club under breeder judge Mr. Steve Herman. A few short months later he was Winner’s Dog during the 2020 AKC National Championship week under Mr. Jason Hoke. Ward is a very special boy with unlimited potential and we can not wait to see where he’ll take us. Ward finished his AKC Championship in April of 2021, going Best of Opposite over specials at the Asheville Kennel Club under esteemed judge, Mrs. Meghen Riese-Bassel. Ward will be shown selectively while he continues his gun dog training over the next year.
